Electrical Construction Services
Harrington Electric Co. has been performing electrical work in the Greater Cleveland area since 1907. Many of Cleveland’s schools, churches, retail stores and offices were wired by Harrington Electric Co. Today, Harrington Electric Co. is sought for it’s skills in wiring Shopping Malls, Sports Arenas, Entertainment Venues, and manufacturing facilities. In short, Harrington is part of the fabric of Northeast Ohio.
Harrington employs many of the best managers and trades personnel in the construction industry. The company enjoys executing difficult projects that other contractors might steer away from. Harrington’s unique ability to combine electrical and technology services gives its customers a one-stop resource to handle their needs.
Harrington is actively engaged in Cleveland Area networks and construction industry organizations. We are proud to be the oldest signatory contractor with IBEW Local 38 and oldest member of the Greater Cleveland National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
Harrington employs Professional Engineers and Registered Communication Distribution Designer capable of developing and stamping design documents for construction.
Our customers benefit from our design-build capabilities in the following ways:
The Design/Build approach provides engineering and construction under a single contract. This results in a single point of responsibility, maximum control by the Owner and immediate responsiveness by the contractor. “Finger pointing” is eliminated because Harrington Electric Co. is solely responsible for all aspects of the electrical system.
The total project duration is significantly reduced, giving the owner access and use of the facility sooner. While design is being developed, purchasing, scheduling, and actual installation can begin. This shortcuts the traditionally lengthy design and bid period.
The electrical contractor is often in the best position to advise the most cost-effective design or product specification. This may be based on knowledge of constructability issues, the newest methods that have been successfully employed, or knowledge of specific trends with material manufacturers.
EARLY KNOWLEDGE OF FIRM PRICE
The Owner benefits from knowing budget pricing as the design development is occurring. Then, as the design criterion solidifies, we can provide a firm price. Several contracting methods are available that create a partnership, between the Owner and Harrington Electric Co., which is our firm commitment to keeping the project under the established budget.
REDUCED ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN
The Owner is not required to invest costly resources into preparing RFPs, conducting extensive evaluations, or coordinating and arbitrating between separate design and construction contracts. Rather, the Owner can focus on timely decision making.
